APIDIS Quality Requirements

Ensuring that “
” honey is safe, traceable, and
inspected in three steps

APIDIS quality is based on a process of continuous monitoring that combines laboratory expertise, product traceability, and verification of origin.

Our Commitment to Quality

APIDIS quality is based on three key requirements: safety, compliance, and consistency. Each batch is inspected from selection through packaging to ensure the authenticity and quality of the honey, with more than 20 dedicated inspection points.

Sensory Evaluation and Batch Safety

Pollen Analysis, Floral and Geographic Origin

Physicochemical Testing of Product Characteristics

“
From selection to packaging, each batch of honey undergoes a rigorous quality control process that ensures quality, compliance, and traceability at every stage.

A three-step quality control process at
every stage of production

1
Pre-purchase verification
Each batch of honey is analyzed prior to procurement to verify its quality, regulatory compliance, and authenticity. This validation ensures that batches are properly selected before they are received by APIDIS.
2
Inspection upon receipt
The analyses are repeated to confirm that the batch conforms to the validated sample and to verify the origin and key characteristics of the honey in our accredited in-house laboratory.
3
Pre-packaging inspection
Before bottling, a final inspection verifies the honey’s stability, compliance, and authenticity. Only batches that meet APIDIS requirements are then packaged.

Continuous monitoring, from honey selection through packaging.

Our Expertise

Floral origin
honey varieties

Pollen Analysis Floral designation Honey Profile

Pollen analysis is used to validate the floral designation of each honey and to verify that it matches the expected profile. The naturally occurring pollen allows us to identify the flowers from which the bees collected nectar and to confirm the claimed floral origin.

Laboratory Testing and Analysis of Honey
Our Expertise

Verified geographic origin

Declared Origin Analytical markers Authenticity

The reported geographic origin is verified using markers identified through laboratory analysis. These checks help confirm the declared origin of the honey and help ensure its authenticity and the transparency of its origin.

Sensory Evaluation
and Batch Safety

Physical and Chemical Sensory Safety

Physicochemical and sensory analyses are combined to assess the key characteristics of honey. They help verify the honey’s compliance, stability, and safety, and detect any potential abnormalities before the product is approved.

,
with APIDIS, ensures controlled traceabilityat every stage of the product lifecycle

At APIDIS, each batch is tracked precisely, linking its origin, inspections, and processing history. This traceability ensures product compliance and guarantees continuous transparency throughout the supply chain.
Receiving Materials

Each incoming batch is identified, recorded, and then inspected before it is fully integrated into the production process.

Documentary Monitoring

Traceability information is archived accurately to ensure reliable tracking of daily operations.

Packaging

Each production run is assigned a unique number that ensures complete traceability of the packaged and prepared lots.

Final Approval

The inspections conducted ensure that only products that meet the quality requirements defined by APIDIS are released.

Secure Shipping

Prepared orders undergo a final inspection before shipment to ensure complete logistics traceability.
